Thread tap introduction
Thread taps are mostly used for drilling blind holes in CNC machining centers, with fast processing speed, high precision, good chip removal and good neutrality. Suitable for processing through holes and blind holes, different helix angles can deal with different materials, and the cutting is good.
Taps are usually single or grouped. Small and medium-sized through-hole threads can be tapped at one time with a single tap.

Spiral flute taps are the most commonly used ones. Different helix angles are used according to different working conditions, and the common ones are right-handed 15° and 42°. Generally speaking, the larger the helix angle, the better the chip removal performance. Suitable for blind hole machining. It is best not to use it for through-hole processing.
Product Recommendations
Spiral flute taps are more suitable for processing non-through hole threads (also called blind holes), and chips are discharged upward during processing. Due to the helix angle, the actual cutting rake angle of the tap will increase with the increase of the helix angle.
